Chartered Building Surveyor - London

Salary: GBP 50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm

The Company

My Client are specialists in building surveys of both prime and super-prime residential properties in central London and large country homes and estates in the home counties. Their professional services include RICS Red Book Valuations, Commercial Building Surveys, Snagging Inspections, Dilapidations, Schedules of Conditions and Party Wall Matters.

My client is now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Building Surveyor. The ideal candidate will have the ability to cover all services as mentioned above in a professional and courteous manner. You will be able to use your own initiative managing your workload and working to strict deadlines, as well as being a team player working alongside Building surveyors. For most of your day you will be officed based however a lot of your time will be spent on site undertaking surveying duties.

Role responsibilities

* Undertaking on-site property surveys
* Producing detailed reports and recommendations
* Identifying defects and advising on remedial works
* Offering advice on proposed alterations, improvements and extensions
* Preparing budgets and schedules
* Advising on Environmental and safety issues
* Meeting with clients and contractors to oversee progress
* Offering advise in relation to legal and planning issues
* Working on-site and in an office


Essential Skills and Requirements:

* MRICS Qualification (Preferred)
* 2 years post qualification experience in undertaking building surveys
* RICS Registered Valuer accreditation
