Corporate Tax Manager

You will be joining a leading independent accountancy practice as Corporate Tax Manager in their Peterborough office.
You will bring previous accountancy practice experience as well as expertise in Corporate Tax to this managerial role, you will also be someone who values strong client relationships and is able to identify opportunities in a growing portfolio.
You will be managing a variety of clients within a growing portfolio including OMB’s, SME’s and groups as well as being responsible for the team - reviewing and developing the team whilst reporting to the partners.
This will be a highly challenging and varied role for someone with a solid corporate tax background who is looking to build on their experience and support in managing and developing the team.
The role:
Your duties will include dealing with all compliance aspects of the tax work, including review of tax returns and computations, running a portfolio of clients, providing tax advice to clients and involvement with tax planning and projects. You will also run a portfolio of P11D clients and be involved in the associated advice.
The role will also see you taking some responsibility for junior staff and assist with their training and development – Training and development is important for the firm and progression opportunities and a clear development path are key for them.
The person:
You will have gained experience in a tax role in a practice environment and ideally be CTA and ACA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of 2 years tax experience
You will have the confidence in client handling with excellent interpersonal skills - A real proactive and logical problem solver who is able to work under pressure in a supportive and friendly environment.
