Apply now to join a fantastic Precision Engineering business that was established in 1967, and was primarily a metal turning company offering a machining service on manual and capstan lathes. Sold in 1987 to the current owner and, since that date, the business has invested heavily in expanding their process and service offerings and delivering bespoke products to the highest standards for several significant blue-chip clients and many others in the Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Telecommunications, Fibre-Optic and Medical Industrial Sectors.
They provide machined components, light assemblies, jigs, and fixtures in batch sizes from 1 off to medium size batches. Their continual investment in the latest technology and machining techniques has allowed them to stay ahead of the competition.
They are currently looking for an Experienced CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator to join their progressive expanding company.
Their factory in Sudbury is 12,000 sq. ft. and its machine park includes CNC Lathes (Citizen, C16, A20, L32-X, Nakamura Multi-Axis, WT100 and WT150, Doosan, Emco), CNC Milling (Bridgeport, Brother, Doosan, Matsuura), Tool Room Machinery (XYZ), CAM Software (Hypermill and Gibbs).
Main duties to include:
* Programming Fanuc controlled lathes (2 - 7 axis) fixed head and/or sliding head
* Setting and operating to tight controlled limits
* Working in a wide variety of materials on components used by a diverse range of end users
The package:
* The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop and grow as the company expands
* They offer salary packages in excess of GBP 50,000 per annum
Working hours:
* 07:30 - 16:30 - Monday - Thursday
* 07:30 - 13:30 - Friday
