North Star Enterprise is recruiting an experienced DevOps Manager for a FinTech vendor in Edinburgh.

The role is offered as a 6 month contract working directly for the firm. Salary is expected to be £75 – 90,000 pro rata. The role is likely to be offered on a staff/permanent basis in Q1 2019. Preference will be given to jobseekers looking for a permanent role rather than a career contractor.

Our client provides a smart platform for medium-large size financial services customers to streamline their credit application processes (e.g. mortgages, credit and store cards, loans and overdrafts, car finance, on-line lending etc). The platform, driven by algorithms, gives complex, value-added data sets to enhance client vetting. The data analytics also provides their customers with new sales and marketing opportunities. It is a unique offering. The firm is well-established in the UK and USA with major logos and contracts.

The DevOps Manager will lead the team supporting the flagship SaaS platform, products and help develop and enhance the portfolio. This is the fastest growing team in their business. The kind of experience and background that will interest the team will include;

* management of the Engineering team to deliver the product roadmap, manage bugs and change quests and deliver the company’s strategic goals either through inhouse or outsourced resources.

* effective leading and management of the Operations team in providing an efficient and effective customer support, operations and quality service.

* supporting and managing Security, Risk, Compliance and Data Protection requirements of the business

* management of key operational suppliers.

* management of Azure infrastructure and Dev Ops management including track, analyse and monitor technology performance metrics

* management of research and development (R&D)

* communication of the company’s technology strategy to partners, management, investors and employees

* management of budgets and costs
