Cloud Security Engineer
Oxford - Thames Valley
A superb career opportunity for a Security Cloud Engineer ( DevSecOps / System Administrator ) has been created at an exciting Oxford based company developing a ground-breaking renewable energy management system. You will be a key member of the team responsible for ensuring the current and future security of the cloud based services, implementing improved security solutions and practices. You will have extensive knowledge of Cloud Security, particularly using AWS.

Security Cloud Engineer Responsibilities
* Ensuring the security of our cloud services and clients by implementing improved security practices
* Improving the monitoring and reliability of our cloud services and clients by implementing automated monitoring script.
* Releasing software upgrades to our cloud services and clients and improving the quality, reliability, and consistency of these releases.
* Monitoring and improving the quality of our cloud services and clients, by finding problems with the services and clients, then suggesting/implementing solutions to these problems
Security Cloud Engineer Requirements
* Extensive knowledge of cloud security, particularly using AWS
* Python programming experience
* Previous experience working as a DevSecOps, DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer. System Admins or Software Engineers interested in moving into DevSecOps are also welcome
* Experience using AWS, including CloudFormation, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk and RDS
* Attention to detail with strong debugging and problem solving skills
* Experience of Puppet
* Eligible to work in the UK
Vacancy location: Oxfordshire (commutable from Reading, Oxford, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Swindon, Banbury, etc)
Salary: £50k - £70K + Bens
