Head of Visual Merchandising

Fabulous new opportunity to join a leading multi site retail group, and be the key lead for the company's visual merchandising strategy.
Heading up a team of four, this role is key to the development of a defined and delivered look, feel and retail standard that is consistent across the whole estate. The ultimate goal should drive positive engagement and feedback both internally, externally and therefore profitable growth.
Key Accountabilities
Lead the development and implementation of a complete and on budget, visual merchandising initiative to create and deliver the brand image to the shop floor across all divisions of the business.
Design, develop, and deliver branded shop-fit environments, using customer insight to build creative visual merchandising strategies that drive commercial value and competitive advantage.
Management and creation of the seasonal set up packs in collaboration with the trading, marketing and operational teams.
Work with the trading teams to improve visual merchandising across the business meeting the demanding seasonal trading pattern of the stores.
Delivery of visual merchandising solutions in line with key business trading events.
Management and scheduling to ensure consistent store set up delivered to an agreed calendar.
Management and procurement of visual merchandising consumables, fixtures and display stocks.
Review and approve any products, supplies and services with relation to visual merchandising.
Develop trading & supplier relationships to mitigate costs and improve store set up.
Manage and control annual and phased cost budgets, including weekly review/ reporting of costs & service KPI's to ensure best cost vs. best service and also to resolve any stakeholder issues.
Attend all required meetings with relevant stakeholders e.g. Trading, Operations, Marketing & Finance.
Responsibility for the visual merchandising team currently three people.
The Person
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior visual merchandising role.
* Experience of In-store operations and central office functions and processes.
* Experience of Far East/direct sourcing processes.
* Experience of multi-site, deep process transformation.
* Experience in a wide range of products from general merchandise to specialist products, food, clothing, cook shop and on trend lifestyle ranges is preferable.
* Proven track record of successful project management.
