Senior Legal Counsel needed in High Wycombe

Our client is a leading independent provider of Managed Diagnostic Services in the UK and have achieved significant growth over the last few years.

Dynamic and collaborative, they have a clear vision to make healthcare and diagnostics better for patients which will see them continue to grow.

What will being a Senior Legal Counsel involve?

- Take primary legal responsibility for all corporate transactions including liaison with external solicitors on M&A transactions, company secretarial matters and corporate compliance advising the Board on all relevant matters.

- Advising the business on commercial, competition, data protection and regulatory issues generally.

-Reviewing and approving commercial contracts and support the business in negotiating these contracts to a conclusion.

-Liaise with external bodies and the commercial team on new developments in healthcare which will impact on the company, particularly in contractual terms.

-Company secretarial duties.

-Review documentation of the company's banking arrangements and advise on contracts.

-Manage external solicitors particularly in connection with M&A transactions

What do I need to apply for this role?

-You will be a commercially minded qualified Solicitor of 5yrs experience post qualification with your core experience in M & A, corporate and contract law. Experience in IT or procurement will be advantageous

-Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills will ensure you work efficiently with Senior Directors and Executive stakeholders in the business to deliver outcomes

-Experience in managing, reviewing and controlling major contracts (£5m-£10m)

-The ability to handle complex negotiations and advise the senior management of contractual risks, prioritising workloads with a clear understanding of what is important to the business

-Strong analytical skills will enable you to recommend solutions to legal issues balancing the need to minimise legal risk with the need to take commercial risks.

-A strong desire to further develop own skills to move into a senior leadership role

-Strong leadership skills to supervise & mentor junior members of the team
