FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
London - Home Based
My client is an innovative software company based in Central London who have built their product around respect, passion, resilience, responsibility and collaboration.
They are looking for an experienced financial controller who shares the same values and wants to grow with a fast paced, SME technology company.
As financial controller, you will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
Some of your Key Responsibilities include:
* Management of all accounting operations
* Implement corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls
* Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes
* Offering professional judgement on financial matters and advise on ways of improving business performance
You will report directly into the company CEO and will be supported by an accounts assistant.
Requirements:
* Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA accountant.
* Proven working experience as a financial controller
* Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
* Experience with creating financial statements from Trial Balance
* Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
* Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
* Excellent communicator
* Project management
* Proven ability of working under pressure;
* Strong IT skills
