SYSTEMS ACCOUNTANT
London - Home Based
Your role will cover:
* Steward practice management system configurations.
* Manage system controls
* Manage user, role and data security principles
* Support closing activities for financial month-end and year-end
* Complete efficient, timely and accurate reconciliations and balancing processes
* Monitor finance system on regular bases (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure integrity of data
* Create advanced T-SQL scripts to identify and resolve reconciliation, balancing and data integrity issues
* Work with Functional Analysts, Business Analysts and Data Specialist to troubleshoot user-reported issues
* Develop in-depth functional and operational knowledge of Finance systems and policies to provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders across the business
* Document processes and procedures
* Collaborate with Business Analysts, Technical Analysts and Data Specialist to support ongoing development of practice management system and reporting output
* Liaise with Technical Analysts and IT to maintain and develop interfaces between software systems
* Provide advice, guidance and information on financial systems
* Participate in practice management system upgrade projects and including testing
* Write software test plans, carry out methodical testing and document results
You will have:
* Qualified accountant and a member of a recognised accounting body
* Advanced T-SQL skills
* Experience of strong system controls implementation & process documentation.
* Ability to engage with all levels of the Finance Team and articulate to non-system staff.
* Experience of driving finance systems and process changes within a multi-site environment.
* Ability to manipulate, analyse and/or reconcile large, complex and diverse financial datasets
* Experience working as general ledger accountant is helpful, but not required
* Forensic attention to detail whilst maintaining an understanding for the commercial bigger picture
* Experience of the Thomson Reuters Elite 3E software
* Experience in a law firm or professional services background
