My client is a strategy-focused technology consultancy who are looking to hire a Finance Manager who can take responsibility and do all the double entry, AP all the way through to financial reporting tax cash management. If you from an auditing background, this can be helpful but not essential.

Duties include:

Management of all aspects of the finance function
Maintenance of financial ledgers, ensuring financials reports are prepared using UK accounting standards
Monthly close process including all balance sheet reconciliations and commentary on financials
Maintenance of accounting policies and procedures, including developing new policies and procedures to meet expanding business needs
Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Managing WIP and invoicing clients
Cash management, ensuring cash inflow and outflow are managed effectively
Managing the payroll submission/commissions/expenses
Provide regular reporting to internal stakeholders
Manage and support the timely production of annual statutory accounts
Liaise with internal and external audit/tax/banks and other parties
Oversee all tax and regulatory returns including payroll related, VAT, employee benefits, corporation tax, RandD returns

Requirements of the role

Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
3-5 years of experience
Expert knowledge of UK GAAP
The candidate should be confident, a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
Self-motivated and autonomous
Excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively up and down
You must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making, and a hands-on approach
Computer literate with good excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles
