My clients is the UK`s largest news publisher, with an award-winning digital portfolio are looking for a Head of Product to lead a small, agile development team that supports their editorial titles by undertaking quick, tactical changes to their publishing systems and digital products. They offer flexi-working hours and some remote working.

The newspaper comprises of more than 50 titles that reach over 150m monthly unique users and they are constantly expanding their digital portfolio, adopting new technologies and evolving their products to meet changing user needs. We are looking for a Product Director to learn about all aspects of digital news in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and deliver product functionality that will be seen by millions of people.
The product development team is based in the City of London, near Monument Tube station, but the role may also involve some travel to other regional offices.
The successful candidate will have oversight of all the aspects of client and customer experience and will be instrumental in the delivery of some major digital products and services. This role is ideal for an individual with experience as a Product Director or Head of Product, mixed sector experience is acceptable for this product and service opportunity.

Key Accountabilities:
Articulating and defining a product vision and strategy following client brief
Excellent communication skills to Stakeholders and to the Product Management team. Soft Superb holistic behaviour soft skills
Understanding and keeping up to date with the needs of customers and providers
Defining and sharing the roadmap for multiple work streams and identifying means of delivery
Liaising with editorial, sales, marketing and leadership to ensure the backlog is a reflection of business objectives and to communicate timelines and progress
Powerful Digital Knowledge
Agile Methodologies is key, with strong background in various methodologies from SCRUM to Prince2
Take a lead in product testing and development of prototypes and MVP`s
Monitor success of product features with appropriate KPI`s
Working closely with the Technical Director to allocate resources to the right products at the appropriate time
Managing and coaching a Product manager to the calibre that the business requires. This may include attracting and recruiting high potential individuals
Keep up to date with latest product thinking and drive awareness and adoption of new and innovative approaches
