Senior Business Analyst – real estate software

Our client is a well-established supplier of software and services to the property sector with a high reputation for the quality of its products. They offer an excellent working environment providing career advancement opportunities.

A Senior Business Analyst is required to join a team with the key objectives of innovation, design and specification of new products and product improvements.

This senior role requires an enthusiastic individual who has the ability to understand and translate business requirements into business and technical proposals. You will work closely with other analysts, software developers and colleagues.

You will have a wide range of skills, able to work at a level where you can specify work for a developer who has no business/product skills and also provide high level modern product designs. You will be involved in all stages of software development, from research, analysis, design and testing.

Occasionally, you will be required to assist sales presentations, provide consultancy and work with customers to define requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Authoring both User Requirement and Functional specifications
• Leading the design and evolution of a product
• Agreeing and executing test plans
• Reviewing major new functional specifications and when requested, provide assistance to other areas of development
• Investigation of problems reported by clients that the helpdesk is unable to resolve
• Providing pre-sales support
• Staying up to date with Property Management best practices and regulation
• Assist with other roles in the department as and when required

Skills

• Able to work both alone and collaboratively as part of a creative team
• The ability to learn fast and have a creative mindset is essential
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, both in small and large forums
• Able to translate detailed and complex business problems to colleagues who have little or no knowledge of the business applications
• Able to work under pressure, prioritise and meet agreed deadlines
• Be willing and able to take responsibility – demonstrating recent examples of this
• Ideally have practical knowledge of property management and accounting principles, although comprehensive training in the Company’s products will be given
• Have knowledge of associated business issues to ensure credibility with internal staff and customers at all levels
• Have competence in Microsoft Office products

Earnings are commensurate with experience representing an expected total of £50k to £60k plus benefits and may be more for a truly exceptional candidate. Those with salary expectations outside of this range but with the required experience are invited to apply and will be considered.

This is a successful company with clients in the UK and continental Europe. You will be based at the company’s London offices and some travel to clients may be required occasionally.
