Our client`s business is involved with high net worth (HNW) Independent Wealth Management.
From tailored investments to insurance solutions, mortgage services to estate planning, asset management to tax advice, their highly qualified private client teams assist their client`s in achieving their fundamental financial objectives.
Their adviser teams help a broad range of individual and corporate clients to understand and achieve their most important financial, pension and insurance planning needs and investment objectives. Some teams specialise in working with business owners, others with senior corporate executives and professionals in sectors such as investment banking, consultancy, partners in the big four accountancy firms or major law firms, barristers etc.
Several work with more complex wealthy families, including an increasing number who are non UK resident and domiciled.
The Role:
I am looking for a Technical Consultant who will provide financial planning support to the Private Client Director of a successful team, assisting them in delivering an outstanding holistic financial planning service to new and existing clients
You will be preparing and attending client meetings, gathering detailed information on the clients and producing comprehensive and clear letters for them. You will prepare a series of lifetime cash-flow models and constructing and producing financial plans that will then be reviewed on a regular basis.
The successful candidate will be Diploma-qualified with at least 3 years` experience in an IFA para-planning role, and will suit someone wishing to work towards an advisory role in the long-term.
You will currently be working in a para-planning role involving direct contact with high net worth clients and have 3 years` experience within the independent sector of the financial services industry.
You will be Diploma qualified and working towards becoming a Chartered Financial Planner (or IFP equivalent), understand the principles of asset allocation and portfolio construction and have excellent knowledge of investment, life and pensions products and current legislation.
You will also have broad knowledge of esoteric products, including VCT and EIS investments and structured products, have a comprehensive understanding of Income Tax, CGT, IHT, Trusts and both DC and DB pension transfers and understand the importance and benefits of lifetime cash-flow modelling.
The role is based in Clerkenwell, London and the hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.30pm (some degree of flexibility may be possible, subject to approval). It may be necessary to occasionally work outside of normal office hours.
Salary is dependent on experience, but expected to be in the range GBP 40-50k plus bonus.
