One of the UK`s most exciting high technology product development companies is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join their team. As the Manufacturing Manager, you will apply your experience in advanced manufacturing and production processes to managing the process analysis and development group, taking responsibility for introduction and validation of processes for the line including assembly automation and fixture development.

Requirements:

As the Manufacturing Manager, you will plan and manage the introduction of new and updated manufacturing processes, making a real impact on the production quality and efficiency of this highly advanced technology. This will require:

* An excellent BSc/BEng/MEng Degree (1st/2.1) in Manufacturing or Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related subject.
* Experience of running a team of manufacturing engineers, preferably in a highly regulated environment: medical devices, automotive, or aerospace. Experience of ISO 13485 certification and FDA GMP would be ideal.
* Experience of working with R&D Engineers spanning mechanics, electronics and software
* Solid understanding of manufacturing high-value, low volume, complex mechatronic systems.
* A basic understanding of software development techniques, Agile methods (e.g. SCRUM) and/or software development for analysis, e.g. MATLAB or Python
* Knowledge of risk assessment processes, ideally with an understanding of risks for medical devices
* An understanding of MRP / ERP systems and how the data within them is structured for efficient manufacturing of product

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the process analysis and development team within the manufacturing engineering including process identification and creation, risk assessment, establishment of line qualification: IQ, OQ, and PQ and applying LEAN principles.

* Identification of process automation and fixturing and managing the team to implement in a timely manner

* Identification of software tools and systems (make or buy) and managing a team of developers to deliver
* Knowledge of Agile project management techniques, especially for software development
* Working alongside the Manufacturing NPI Manager, planning controlled introduction of new and updated process changes to the line
* Establishing the appropriate tools for visualisations for the production process KPIs
* Managing the interfaces between the process team with the wider manufacturing and design functions within the company
* Mentoring the team and assisting with recruitment of high-quality candidates for the team.
