My client, an international full-service digital agency based in London is looking to hire an Interim Senior Frontend Developer to based in Cambridge working onsite with a great team.
You will be an expert in React and work in a multidisciplinary product team to build a new digital service for the education sector.
The Agency strategise, design, and develop digital solutions for the private and public sector. Their international team across UK and Netherlands of over 100 professionals work between both locations delivering exceptional solutions.
The brief:
The Snr Frontend Developer will be one of two Reacts developers on the team. The team works in experienced squads of Backend, DevOps, and QA engineers supported by a design squad. This is a truly agile product delivery team where the team work together to solve real user problems, test, iterate and test again! This is opportunity to get involved right from the beginning of this product development journey.
Job Purpose
Reporting directly to the Head of Software Engineering. You will create and evolve architecture in an Agile environment. You will encourage the team to share technical solutions to best fit the architecture.
Responsible for maintaining a hands-on approach to coding and alignment with the team to ensure the quality and the output meets the desired objective.
Ensure you write good clean code ighat meets acceptance criteria. Write tests to validate your own work.
Engage with the team on continuous delivery and agile best practices. Share knowledge with the team.
Responsibilities and Contributions
Make the connection between the design and the software developed at the back end.
Code up user experiences to bring customers ideas to reality.
Involve the customer during the entire development process.
Keep a close eye on usability and accessibility.
Lead, mentor and coach other developers.
Keep learning, continuously bringing new understanding to them
Knowledge and Experience
Extensive working knowledge of variety of Front End technologies, such as HTML5, CSS (SASS), JavaScript, jQuery, Angular and ReactJS.
Good grounding in server side coding.
Comfortable with building automated tests for the sites you create.
Good sense of web design.
Ready to dive into back end technologies such as Node.js and Java.
Comfortable consuming RESTful.
Experience in an Agile environment including methods like Scrum.
Experienced in working independently and managing own workload.
