Part of a successful engineering group this well-established company is at the forefront of design and engineering for highly sophisticated niche electron microscope products for the scientific and research sectors globally. Their range of products includes generic designs as well as bespoke and cutting edge.
This is a new role which manages a small team of technical specialists and is responsible for new product development across the company’s range of products as well as other technologies that would complement the existing product range. Reporting to the MD the Engineering Manager is the lead for internal innovation with the goal of ensuring that the company remains a market leader in and delivers the highest possible value and quality for its customers. He/she will create a roadmap for future product development, including the resources and technologies required to achieve it.
Ideally an Engineering or Physics graduate you will have led a team in NPD and understand the manufacturing process in the scientific instruments sector as well as having a high level of customer interface and influencing skills.
Based in the UK, the role will involve liaison and meeting with customers internationally, as well as nationally.
