Their vision is to make the can the most sustainable package in the beverage supply chain.

An exceptional career development opportunity has arisen for a talented Assistant Plant Manager to head up the state of the art, well invested Wakefield facility, whilst providing a ‘springboard’ for a high potential candidate within the wider global Group.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, your challenge will be to lead a team of 4 Shift Managers and approximately 130 multi-skilled Operators and Engineers, to deliver maximum efficiency and optimum production levels in line with OEE standards. A key focus will be on driving continuous improvement within the business, building on the company’s culture of empowerment and employee participation, driving team performance to achieve stretch targets. Encompassing all aspects of manufacturing, your success will be measured on the impact you have on safety, operational efficiency, customer service and quality. By identifying, and acting on, opportunities for improvement and cost reduction, you will assist the business in creating value, both internally, and for the customer base.

Degree qualified you will have an impressive track record in manufacturing management, encompassing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques, gained in a progressive, high volume manufacturing environment. Black Belt training would be of particular interest. This will be combined with exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire your team, and colleagues, at every level.
