Location: Client`s offices across UK, 1) Aldershot 2) Somerset 3) Isle of Wight 4) Oldham 5) St Neot, Cambridge

Salary: GBP 40k to GBP 55k pa depending on experience.

Hours: Full-time

The Role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Court of Protection Solicitor (2 years of experience) to join our clients Court of Protection and Human Rights Department based in Aldershot.

The successful candidate will focus on the firm`s busy Court of Protection caseload and will be able to take on existing Court of Protection matters, including proceedings under s.16 and s.21A MCA 2005, deputyship work, Lasting Powers of Attorneys and DoLS. The successful candidate will also be expected to regularly work with the Official Solicitor and help build up and develop the support team.

This could be a great opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to take on or grow into a leadership role for a firm that has an excellent reputation and an established market presence.

Applications are invited from experienced Court of Protection Solicitors who are looking for an opportunity to progress their career in a highly regarded firm.

Particularly, solicitors with experience in Child Proceedings are encouragedand strong Private Client solicitors who have handled Court of Protectionfiles as part of a broader case-load will also be considered.

You will have the ability to build and develop strong relationships with a wide range of people and have excellent client servicing and business development skills.

Qualifications:

Solicitor with relevant qualifications and permission to practice in England and Wales, and previous experience of working in a Court of Protection role.

Person Specification:

* Committed to a career in Court of Protection work
* Able to work to tight deadlines and in a high paced environment
* Good client focus
* Flexible and proactive approach with `can do` attitude
* Organised and able to prioritise
* Good Microsoft skills particularly word and excel
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Experience with legal aid and CCMS is preferable`


Solicitors Benefits:

Annual leave - 26 days and 1 year extra per year of service, cap at 31 days.
