My client. An award-winning Media House is looking for a Software Engineer to join their Data Team.
You`ll have experience working with cloud technologies, be self-directed and happy to work on your own initiative. They are looking for candidates with strong experience in the AWS platform, especially implementing serverless applications involving Lambda, S3, and Kinesis.
My client strongly believes in the benefits of flexible working, some remote working and autonomy in their day to day jobs.
You will be joining the Digital Product and Engineering department aimed to implement their Customer Data Platform using integrations, data sets, tools, governance processes, and more.
Key Responsibilities
You will be joining a critical and challenging project whose main goal is delivering a single view of the customer across our multiple data silos, in order to increase customer engagement. You will be designing, prototyping and implementing new exciting data and BI products and APIs.
You will have the opportunity to display your skills in the following areas:
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
Write clear and effective APIs
Write technical documentation
Work with engineers, architects and analysts to improve software
As a Software Engineer, the following skills are essential:
Experience with building frontend analytics tracking at scale
Experience designing and building scalable APIs
Experience in both backend and frontend technologies (browser and server) in particular Javascript/Typescript, Scala, and/or Python or another similar language
Experience building infrastructure, in automated pipelines (AWS ideally: CodePipeline, Cloudformation, Lambda, S3, Kinesis, EC2/ECS/Docker, DynamoDB)
Experience with Relational as well as NoSQL databases
Experience working in an Agile environment using standard tools such as Jira, Bitbucket or similar, and version control
