My client, an award-winning Publishing House in Central London is looking for an enthusiastic and customer driven Product Manager to conceive, plan and deliver their consumer facing product experience.
What you will do
Product Manager is a key role where you`ll balance launching new consumer facing features (that are relevant locally, but can scale nationally), working with internal and external stakeholders and driving the product roadmap.
You`ll be responsible for understanding their users, setting a compelling product vision, prioritisation, acquiring and retaining users. Ultimately, you`ll be responsible for the success of their product.
Working closely with other product managers, developers, designers, external partners, senior leadership and journalists you will help identify opportunities and challenges while guiding the product to success.
You will provide inspiring and effective communications to regional and national stakeholders, the market and the wider tech community.
You`ll maintain necessary technical, UX and market knowledge to understand our product, the market and future opportunities.
Skills we would like you to have
You need to have experience managing consumer facing digital products (website, apps or both) and be able to display an understanding of different user types.
Experience with large scale media/tech products would be ideal. They will consider people with similar transferable skills who have a genuine enthusiasm for the role.
An understanding of the different needs and requirements of users at different life stages e.g. students, pensioners, parents....and what matters to them. You need to be an effective collaborator and have an ability to manage relationships and stakeholder expectations.
They are looking for someone who has an uncanny ability to identify value, risk and can prioritise ruthlessly to get the right product features developed. You should have experience managing product backlogs.
Expertise using spreadsheets: creating charts, forecasts and interpreting data.
It would be beneficial if you have some technical knowledge of frontend, backend and technologies. Experience scaling up products using technologies like AWS would be helpful.
