Finance Business Analyst - Manchester

GBP 400 to GBP 500 per day

My client, a leading Legal and Insurance firm in Manchester is looking for a detailed and organised Finance Business Analyst to start asap on a contract basis.

Reporting to the Head of Application Support and Development, this is a key position within the IT department, managing resource and providing an effective and proactive link between IT teams and business management. Ensuring IT processes and policies are applied and undertaking quality assurance activities to ensure high standards of documentation and deliverables. Working in collaboration with the IT Teams, Operational Managers and the Finance department to understand and deliver successful business solutions.

The Finance Business Analyst will be responsible for leadership and supervision of the Business Analyst team, including supporting and developing individuals, and development and implementation of BA procedures and best practice. (Team Lead experience is not essential)

Main Responsibilities:

Collaboratively work with Project Managers, IT teams and internal stakeholders to understand business strategies, risks and impacts; ensuring shared awareness and understanding across project teams.

Responsible for coordination of internal and external change requests, including reviewing and triaging requests.

Conducting QA reviews of BA documentation and solutions; providing constructive feedback and recommendations, whilst ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.

Ensuring high levels of employee satisfaction and productivity

Development and implementation of BA procedures and best practice.

Ensuring solutions have considered business, client, resource and cost impact and long-term scalability.

Supporting the Head of Application Support and Development in developing new working practices and driving continuous improvement in the department

Essential skills:

Minimum three years` experience of business analysis

Experience of implementing software and process solutions

Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

High level of attention to detail

Excellent organisational skills

Excellent written and oral communications skills
