Role

A critical part of achieving their vision is doing it with fantastic people, and as such they are looking for a Project Leader to join the team. For this role, you should be excited about working in a small, dynamic team; always keen to get involved; and be a team player. The position represents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take leadership responsibility in the development of a monoclonal antibody through to clinical testing.

Applicants should have extensive laboratory research experience and experience in leading antibody development projects. You will lead the design and execution of our lead programme`s development plan and you should have advanced organisational skills. The position will include managing contractors, external experts and company research staff; designing and executing experiments; and prioritising multiple research activities. At the company, they believe in leading by example, so while a significant amount of work will be project management, you`ll also be expected to don the lab coat and get involved at the bench

Key responsibilities

* Designing and executing an antibody development plan from candidate nomination to Phase 1b
* Designing, conducting and analysing translational experiments
* Working with development experts to deliver an IND data package
* Working with key stakeholders to design and prepare for a Ph 1 clinical trial
* Managing project timelines and budgets
* Managing research staff
* Contributing ideas
* Making sure every day is better than the last


You should have

* Experience in leading therapeutic antibody development projects
* Proven ability to set and meet deadlines
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Innovative, inclusive and forward looking mindset
* Excellent people management skills
* Passion for working on a programme in diabetic kidney disease
* Flexibility and adaptability to change with a commitment to strive in a highly dynamic and challenging environment
* Initiative
