The Client

Our client is a Wealth Management company who are a small and agile firm with a big firms strength. They are a growth company but without the bureaucracy. The company have a small company feel and culture and have an agile, motivated team of approximately 20 talented individuals supporting our growth. They operate from a suite of modern offices in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales-driven advisor who wants to take the next exciting step in their career. The successful individual will work remotely from home reporting to the office as and when required.

The Role

This is a hybrid role combining new business development and client servicing, with the opportunity to field coach and train other advisors.

New Business Development and Advice:

You will be responsible for servicing an existing client bank (most clients are North London and surrounding Home Counties - Beds, Bucks, Herts, Cambridgeshire...) in addition to developing new business and introducer relationships. New business development skills are crucial to your success in this role. You will be expected to create new lead sources such as introducer relationships, and demonstrate to your team how you do this. In this capacity, you will secure the existing client FUM and leverage new opportunities (referrals, etc.) from our current clients. Success criteria in this role will be linked to new IAF generated and FUM protection.

Train/ Coach:

You will have the chance to observe, coach and guide less experienced advisors while they watch you apply your sales skills. This includes showing them how to sell through the family generations, gain referrals into other trusted relationships and develop effective introducer relationships. Success criteria in this role will be linked to your ability to increase overall sales activity and improve the teams sales/advice skillset. The primary measure of success will be increased IAF production.

Previous Knowledge and ExperienceYou are fully Diploma Level 4 qualified and have at least 10 years offering holistic financial planning to UK clients.

You have a proven sales track record and have experience creating additional opportunities through introducer relationship, referrals etc.

You may have IHT or pensions experience which would be an advantage

You have some relevant experience in the corporate market

You have a natural, proactive coaching style and know-how to lift a field-based sales teams morale and performance levels.

You may have (helpful but not critical) experience with an IFA firm and understand how they develop additional opportunities through existing client and introducer relationships

You have overachieved in previous sales/advisor roles

You have experience supporting advisers with lead generation opportunities
