Head of Manufacturing Engineering

One of the UK`s most truly exciting high technology companies is looking for an experienced and very senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join their team as Head of Manufacturing Engineering. As the Head of Manufacturing Engineering, you will apply your experience of state-of-the-art lean manufacturing and production processes to design, implement and manage a World-class production facility -You will be responsible for the day to day running of the manufacturing engineering function, taking overall responsibility for process development, validation and New Product Introduction. You'll plan and deliver the projects to tight timescales, bringing best practice principles to the running of the team and developing LEAN processes for the line. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager from an ultra-high quality, safety critical manufacturing background.

Requirements of Head of Manufacturing Engineering
As the Head of Manufacturing Engineering, you will manage a team designing, planning and managing the introduction of a brand-new manufacturing facility and associated lean processes for this highly advanced technology. This will require.

* An excellent BSc/BEng/MEng Degree in Manufacturing / Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related subject.
* Experience of running a team of manufacturing engineers in a highly regulated environment such as medical devices, automotive, or aerospace. Experience of ISO 13485 certification and FDA GMP would be ideal.
* Experience of working with R&D Engineers spanning mechanical, electronic and software engineering
* Significant project-management track-record for on-time and on-budget delivery of manufacturing engineering projects covering: NPI activities, Process development, ERP improvements, Test development and execution, Fault diagnosis and rework strategies.
* A fundamental belief in quality, efficiency and modern lean manufacturing techniques
