My client, a leading legal insurance firm is looking for a Technical Engineer for a 6 month FTC., who will work with the infrastructure team maintain and build new infrastructure to support the firm across its offices throughout the UK.
Main Responsibilities
Azure Administration
Identity and Access Management
Unified communications technologies
Microsoft Exchange Hybrid
Previous experience of digital migrations
Platform as a service experience Advanced Active Directory skills, including the use of group policies and personalisation technologies
A well developed, practical understanding of network technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, layer 3 routing protocols, sub-netting, QoS,and VLANs
General knowledge of WAN/MPLS optimisation technologies
Server automation technologies and scripting (powershell)
Experience of supporting and troubleshooting on prem Active Directory and Azure AD
Experience of deployment and testing methods for servers and services
Experience of general Disaster Recovery methods and strategies
Strong interpersonal and customer service oriented skills
Be well motivated and a team player, keen to develop skills or advance their own knowledge
To assist in IT projects
To assist in the development, documentation and maintenance of hardware and software reference models.
Good understanding of IT service management principles including incident and problem management
Well presented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Backup and Recovery technologies
Be prepared to travel around the UK as required from time to time, with overnight stays wherever necessary
