We have a fantastic new role for a seriously high-tech Senior / Lead Mechatronics Engineer ( Robotics ) to join a fast-growing Robotics development company in Cambridge. This role sits within the multi-disciplined architecture team and will see the successful applicant lead and shape the development of next generation robotics used in a medical setting.
You will have a strong background in Robotics development and be a true solutions provider able to architect and deliver safe, reliable, and scalable medical robotics solutions. Globally approving, standardising, and optimising technical solutions, with a focus on arm, instruments, and control systems architecture.

Responsibilities Senior / Lead Mechatronics Engineer ( Robotics )
* Manage complex mechatronic systems.
* Lead and architect next generation robotics / mechatronics systems and modules.
* Global approval of technical solutions for the team of engineers.
* Governance & optimisation of modules with senior managers in a cross-functional team responsible for balancing requirements
* Standardisation & optimisation of technical solutions
* Provide technical documentation, related to mechatronics systems and modules, to fulfil regulatory requirements
* Support the Business in preparing strategic plan and projects
* Mentoring and coaching of engineers to secure knowledge transfer

Requirements of Senior / Lead Mechatronics Engineer ( Robotics )
* A BSc/MSc/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
* Significant and proven product development experience delivering commercial robotics solutions.
* Project Management and Line management Experience.
* Expert in robotics technology as well as a deep understanding of the complete robot lifecycle.
* Ability to understand advanced technologies, concepts and ideas and ability to integrate them into a future industrial robotics context
* Excellent communication skills
* Willingness to travel
