My client, an award-winning Publishing House is looking for a Group Product Director to lead their news and exploratory products teams and their central resources team across engineering, UX/Design, Data and Internal tools.
Key purpose is to ensure alignment with company strategies around customer growth, editorial KPIs, commercial and audience reach. This role will have accountability for their core products and platforms across web and mobile to ensure we deliver a positive, memorable experience for every reader.
The role reports directly to the Chief Customer Officer. Responsible for leading the UX and Design, Engineering, Data, Internal Tools, News Product and Exploratory product teams.
Key stakeholders are editorial, customer and commercial teams. Works closely with the Chief Audience Office and Group Editor in Chief and the CRO and Digital Director regarding Ad Product.
Key Responsibilities:
Play a key role in shaping Reach strategies around customer growth and digital audience.
Sits as part of ProdCo to develop Product Strategy and prioritisation across the Company.
Leading UX and Design, Engineering, Data, Internal Tools, News Product and Exploratory product teams to deliver the Product strategy and priorities as identified by ProdCo.
Identify and implement positive progression of platforms to enhance reader experience, and create positive customer experiences.
Regularly present to Exco product strategy and deliverables across editorial, commercial and customer
Ability to see the product org as a whole to ensure there is alignment across teams
Supports IYA product leads across central resources
Take editorial, customer and commercial strategies and develop technological and product-led solutions to implementation.
Identify future talent for the business, and pathways for those within the team.
Oversee implementation of data management and the Publisher ID project
Taking accountability for the fair and consistent application of all our people policies, procedures and processes.

Key Skills
Proven track record of end-to-end product and engineering development, from inception to execution
Proven collaborative skills across multiple stakeholders - editorial, commercial and customer
Comfortable at presenting at Exco the product strategy
Proven leader and developer of talent
