Senior/ Principal Electrical Engineer - Bromley, Kent Salary: Very Competitive Depending on ExperienceThe Company:Our client is a practice of low carbon consulting engineers specialising in mechanical, electrical and public health systems for the built environment. They are committed to engineering excellence and are passionate about delivering high quality designs. They are Exor accredited and proud to be consistently listed in the Top 100 Engineers by Building Magazine. They are certified Low Carbon Consultants (LCCs) and Low Carbon Energy Assessors (LCEAs).
The Role:Our client is looking for an experienced and design-focused Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer who has Chartered Engineer (MCIBSE) status and/or degree level qualification - desirable, however they will consider applicants with suitable experience. The successful Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer should have the desire and capabilities to develop their career within a people and client orientated construction and property consultancy. Experience in the Health Service and the Education sector would also be an advantage but not essential.
Role Responsibilities:* Carry out building analysis and provide system design calculations
* Liaising directly with clients and contractors
* Prepare and manage designs, feasibility studies, reports, and contract documents
* Supervise team of Engineers and Technicians
* Actively seek and promote business development
* Deputise for senior staff as appropriate
* Prepare technical reports, specifications, and contracts documents
* Project and contract management
* Assist in management of project resources and costs
* Resource planning and management experience - desirable
* Experience in business development - desirable
* Experience in preparing and delivering presentations and proposals to prospective clients - desirable
Essential Skills and Requirements:* Significant project management and design experience in Building Services across small and large projects
* Knowledge of HandS/CDM requirements and current legislation e.g., UK Building Regulations
* Familiarity with electrical design software`s such as Hevacomp/Amtech/Dialux
* Fire alarm and emergency lighting design experience
* Knowledge and understanding of BS7671
* Structured wiring system and security system design experience
