Engineer Surveyor - Bedfordshire-Hertfordshire-Southampton

Salary: Very Competitive Depending on Experience

THE ROLE

Our client are experts in providing industrial safety examinations and inspections for any kind of mechanical equipment.

They have an exciting opportunity for an engineer surveyor or a mechanical engineer to train up to the role.

The ideal candidate will need to have a proven mechanical engineering background, must be experienced and familiar in a wide range of lifting equipment: lifts, cranes and plant.

Have the ability to carry out load testing and examinations of simple pressure systems would also be a great advantage although training will be provided.

Responsibilities include:

Ensure examinations are carried out in line with the planned daily schedule. This schedule is planned for our client`s engineers by the client`s central planning department at their H.Q.

Produce examination reports using their prime reporting system in a professional manner within company service standards.

Build and maintain excellent client relationships and ensure that customer service standards are met.

Maintain an awareness of current British, European and international standards.

Respond and work flexibly.

Identify possible business opportunities.

Maintain technical standards and participate in technical audits {both internal and external}

Skills and experience:

* Recognised engineering qualification: ONC/HNC/HND/EngTech/ IENG/CEng.
* LOLER,PUWER and PSSR {COSHH and SEMA would be a bonus}
* Valid UK driving license
* Proven engineering background with a sound mechanical discipline
* Proven working knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work alone but also as part of a team.
* IT literate.
* Good knowledge of industry trends, developments and changes in legislation.
