My client, an award-winning Publishing House is looking for a confident Mid-weight to Senior UI Designer to join a small, User Experience and Design team, who will be involved in the conception, development and execution of user interface designs for leading-edge mobile and web products.
My client has big ambitions. Their National and Regional digital publications already reach an enormous audience, but they want to be much bigger, and do much better! They are aiming to change the way that their 10 million daily online users experience their digital products, and revolutionise the world of online news in the process.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply brand identity systems, typography, photography, colour and other ingredients appropriately to create innovative visual solutions that meet business and audience needs
Develop and maintain the visual integrity of digital products from inception to completion and beyond
Create visual prototypes or screens as necessary
Extend existing visual systems/brand guidelines across all media with moderate design changes or interpretation
Deliver strong creative work
Collaborate with User Experience in the development of products and in ensuring product integrity Assist with design/brand-related workshops
Writing and maintaining a UI related blog for publishing house
Experience Guidelines
3 - 4 years industry/agency experience
Strong design portfolio
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail is a must
A solid knowledge of the latest versions of applicable programs and workflow: Mac OS, Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Keynote, Zeplin, Abstract, etc.
A solid understanding of web, mobile web and app design
Good understanding of web technology strengths and weaknesses
Passion for design
Ability to articulate creative concepts and rationale to other team members and internal clients
Understanding of motion design
A good understanding of UX practices
Minimum Bachelor`s degree in Graphic Design or other design-related discipline require
