The Client

The client provides an integrated approach to their services, offering a one stop shop to commercial contractors and private developers. Founded in 1988, the client has 30 years of industry experience.

They offer a wide range of services ranging from our patented engineered foundation systems and underpinning.

They have their own in-house design team comprised of Structural and Geotechnical Engineers, providing underwritten design solutions across all their services.

The client also has their own plant hire business providing specialist and bespoke equipment to the group and wider external market.

Their ethos is to provide a fully integrated service for customers, providing support from conception through to construction. They always seek to provide the most cost-effective solution for projects, through innovation, product development, and a wealth of experience gained from 30 years working in the industry.

Role Overview

The postholder will manage and lead Plant, Piling and all site operations, and will be responsible for the performance of the clients Piling Services and all operational matters to ensure operational efficiency, safe systems of work, and repeat business.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage, lead, and support the contracts team on all project

Manage the pre-contract handover process including handover meetings from estimating/sales department and interrogate proposed allowances (durations, materials, productivity outputs etc.).

Plan, organise, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish ensuring adherence to design specification, programme and budgeted allowances.

Liaise with main contractors to ensure that all facilities and agreed attendances are provided to facilitate the smooth delivery of every contract.

Continually review contracts to ensure the company and the clients are maintaining service level agreements and programmes.

Ensure robust cost control processes are in place and present progress reports/programmes in Bi-weekly review meetings.

Manage commercial change orders (VO`s) and claims related to all contracts and sub-contracts.

Work within and continually improve (with others) our IMS system (Health and Safety, quality control schedules and materials, etc.)

Ensure all sites are established and managed in accordance with HandS legislation, and internal guidance and meet client expectations.

Manage client complaints throughout project life cycle (pre-contract, contract delivery and post contract stages) and ensure the Group MD is notified of any issues.

Recruit, train manage and engage new employs as needed to fulfill our contractual obligations.

Seek and engage new subcontractors and lead through the vetting process with Commercial.

Recruit, train, performance manage, motivate, and engage people.
