In recent years the hospital has been through a multi-million pound redevelopment programme with the design aim focused on making patients feel better whilst delivering advanced healthcare using the latest procedures and technologies.
The Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic, experienced Pharmacy Manager who will be responsible for the safe and effective provision of the professional pharmaceutical service to the hospital for both inpatients and outpatients.
Role Responsibilities:
* Management of pharmacy staff
* Responsibility for the hospital drug budget
* Accountability as the Responsible Pharmacist and Medication Safety Officer
* Providing expert advice to medical, nursing, support staff and patients in all aspects of medicines management.
* Delivering education and training to staff on a wide range of medicines management topics
Essential Skills and Requirements:
* A B.Pharm/BSc Pharmacy/M.Pharm or equivalent
* Current membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Demonstrable experience in managing a team in a pharmaceutical service
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* The ability to present information logically and concisely (both verbally and in writing)
* Analytical and problem -solving skills
* Ability to prioritise your workload and to meet competing deadlines
* Personal attributes which demonstrate enthusiasm for the role, personal integrity and commitment
* A self- starter
* Leadership skills inclusive of the ability to motivate staff
