Profile of the candidate:

* * 4-5 years of experience working in a similar role
* NVQ level 3 or above in accounting, or equivalent professional qualification (i.e. AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
* Strong Microsoft office skills, particularly Excel (formulae, pivot tables, etc.)
* Experience with integrated ERP systems
* Strong communication skills
* Pro-active, self-assured - The role involves active interaction with the production departments and other management team members. The finance manager should be able to defend the financial interests of the company.



* * Positive drive, self-motivated - The finance manager position has a broad responsibility across the entire organisation. A positive drive is needed to engage others and as the role has limited direct supervision itself, the individual needs to be self-motivated

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Management of financial staff and financial oversight

Supervise, coach, appraise develop all direct and indirect reports in the finance organization

Ensure group/legal financial policies/regulations are adhered to

Organise, structure, allocate workload within the finance department

Liaise, align and maintain relationship with financial SSC

Supporting general management in steering the business

The finance manager is an active member of the management team at each facility. Depending on the size of the organization, the finance manager and/or operations manager act as backup for the general manager when it comes to general decision making.

Support/re-structure/amend processes in the organisation in cooperation with the General manager/Operations manager.

Generate investment proposals for capital expenditures in various areas (expansion of business/capability, replacement of old equipment, etc.)

Generate recruitment proposals for additional staff hires in cooperation with the General manager/HR manager

Review salary increases and promotion reviews in cooperation with General manager/HR Manager ensuring adherence to salary structure and objective decision making.

Develop reporting that provides new/additional insight to management/staff to help improve the business. I.e. in the areas of sales reporting, margin analysis, product development, customer development.

Financial/legal reporting

Responsible for delivering periodic financial reports - Monthly management accounts (PandL, balance sheet, cost detail), Forecast reporting (twice per year), Operational plan/budgeting (annually)
