A highly regarded, innovative outsourcing business systems and solutions consultancy serving needs for asset-intensive industries such as energy, mining and engineering, are looking for an Experienced Finance Manager to join the group.
Title: Finance Manager
Location: London, 2 days on site per week commitment
Salary: Range between GBP 60,000 to GBP 70,000 (pro-rated to a 24-hour week) Benefits (Listed below)

Job Description - Finance Manager
Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager plays a crucial role in managing and reporting the financial affairs of the business, providing analysis and insight through your management accounting and financial analysis skills. The role will cover all aspects of accounting including cost analysis, bank reconciliations, budgeting and performance reporting.
This is a self-starter role, where the ability to take ownership, initiative and to be pro-active will be highly regarded. Candidates that can complete tasks and meet deadlines often with imperfect information and informal processes will be well suited. You will also be inquisitive and willing to influence change in financial processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Communication is key, to elicit and present information concisely and accurately to both financial and non-financial people.
Initial requirement of 24 hours per week but with opportunity to grow depending on needs of the business and the value you can bring. You can determine your working schedule, but this must be consistent week on week, including on-site presence in London (Holborn) 2 days per week. This is an enduring employment contract - not a temporary or fixed term role.
Key Duties include:
* Preparing and processing transactions and journals using modern finance software
* Sales and credit control
* Month-end process and reporting
* Margin, overhead and variance analysis
* Actual vs Forecast reporting
* Insight and analysis with report production to the management team.
* Bank and control account reconciliation
* Preparation of VAT returns.
* Influencing and improving finance processes, driving effectiveness and efficiency
Essential attributes
Apply only if,
* You are a fully Qualified Accountant of at least 2 years (CIMA, ACCA, IACEW, ICA or equivalent)
* You can commit to 3-days on site in London (Tues-Thurs) during the 3-month probationary period, 2-days on-site thereafter
* You do not require sponsorship, or, you have full right to work status in the UK
* You have minimum of 5 years` experience within in a responsible accounting role
Ideal qualifications and attributes
* Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
* Proven ability to overcome barriers, be resourceful and prioritise
* Hands-on experience with accounting software and general ledger functions
* Have previous exposure to finance business pa
