Location: City of London.
Salary: Very competitive
Our client is an independent accounting, tax, audit and business advisory firm, based in the heart London. They are expanding and looking for a VAT Manager to join the team.
The Role:
* Advise on general client VAT queries and finding solutions by giving the right advice
* Manage a portfolio of clients, including preparing and reviewing complex VAT advisory notes and reports
* Be the first point of contact for clients and team members regarding VAT
* Assist the VAT compliance team with complicated VAT returns, ensuring compliance and identifying risk
* Liaise with and manage the working relationship with HMRC during client VAT inspections
* Be involved in due diligence project work and appropriate VAT structuring
* Assist with year-end VAT queries
* Support the VAT Partner on various other projects
* Take an active part in the firm`s business development activities
Experience:
* Experience in advising on VAT-related matters.
* CTA Qualified, or qualified by experience,
* Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
* Technically proficient with excellent problem-solving skills
* Able to stay calm and resolve issues in a timely manner
* Confident communicating with all levels of stakeholders with a client or within the firm
They are willing to support this person in this role to do their VAT route CTA if they are not qualified by experience.
