Embedded Software Developer
Location: Milton Keynes, MK9 (Hybrid)
Salary: GBP 40,000 - GBP 60,000 based on experience
Monday to Friday no weekends.
Job Type: Full Time
Fantastic opportunity to join a unique organisation that develops and integrates smart ticketing technology software for use in the public sector. This is a hybrid role so most of the days you can work remotely from home and then come in when needed to our client`s head office in Milton Keynes. This position offers great flexibility and excellent benefits.
Duties:
* Develop PC based support utilities and test software for embedded systems.
* Implement and automate tests for the clients embedded software products
* Development of user-friendly widows support utilities to configure and test the behaviour of smart cards and similar embedded devices.
* Documentation, generation and review.
* Report to Technology Manager.
The ideal candidate will have:
* C, C# .NET, Java windows development and associated IDEs.
* Experience integrating connected devices into windows applications.
* Experience in automated testing of embedded devices.
* Comprehension of technical specifications and the ability to identify relevant test scenarios.
* Documentation and test campaign planning.
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
* Excellent team working, organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Able to prioritise workload and act on own initiative.
* An ability to work to tight deadlines
Other Key Skills Desired:
* Java Android Development
* Familiarity with Smart-cards and smart card communication protocols. ISO 7816 and ISO 14443.
* Writing simulator and test harnesses.
