Embedded Software Engineer - IoT
Milton Keynes - Thames Valley
We are looking to hire an experienced Embedded Software Engineer who's interested in getting involved in a modicum of Electronics design too.
You will be joining a leading Milton Keynes based Electronics company who are developing next generation IoT tech. They are leaders in their field and have cultivated an environment which encourages and celebrates innovation and design. There is potential for hybrid working, and you can expect a fantastic working environment within the office in their purpose-built facility.
Embedded Software Engineer Responsibilities:
* New product design and development
* Create and maintain clear and concise documentation
* Work effectively alongside Software and Electronics Engineers to ensure complete systems meet customer requirements
* Work effectively with project leader and project and contracts manager to support effective project planning and timely delivery.
The Embedded Software Engineer will have:
* Strong Embedded C experience with AVR, AVR32, and PIC microcontrollers, or similar
* Good Linux knowledge
* Knowledge of Python beneficial.
* Experience of communications systems (ZigBEE, Bluetooth, TCP/IP, RS485, RS232, USB)
* Familiar with Electronics hardware design, schematic capture, PCB layout
* Very low power and (ideally) solar powered design and development beneficial
* EMC test and debugging experience.
* AutoCAD experience, 2D assembly drawings beneficial
Job Title - Electronics Design Engineer
Salary: circa £50k - £60k +benefits
Vacancy Location: Milton Keynes (commutable from Northampton, Bedford, Luton, Aylesbury, Northants, Beds, Bucks)
