Salary: GBP 50,000 - GBP 57,000 per year

Our client are a Multi-Academy Trust with an objective of achieving excellence through collaboration, instilling a love of learning, and promoting positive habits. They aim to be an outstanding learning community and are a charitable company. They are seeking a Lead Practitioner (English) to join their team.

The Role:

You will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the English department, driving standards and improving outcomes, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality English education across the school.

Duties:

* Providing leadership and guidance to the English department, setting standards for teaching and learning, and ensuring that all students receive high-quality English education.
* Supporting the professional development of teachers in the department, sharing expertise and best practice, and providing training and coaching to help colleagues improve their practice.
* Collaborating with other school leaders and stakeholders to develop strategies to improve English outcomes, monitor progress, and evaluate the impact of interventions.
* Staying up-to-date with developments in English education and pedagogy, and using this knowledge to shape the departments curriculum and approaches to teaching and learning.
* Contributing to the wider life of the school, participating in extra-curricular activities and events, and building positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider community.


Requirements:

* Previous experience in a similar role
* You will be a qualified teacher who has an honours degree
* Have evidence of successful teaching outcomes at KS3 and KS4 over time
* Able to develop and sustain successful relationships with pupils and colleagues
* Recent, relevant professional development
